April 2001

October 2000

Supervisors of the Brewers Retail were invited to attend
  a
meeting held at the Nottawasaga Inn, in Alliston,
  Ontario.

At this meeting, supervisors discussed various issues
regarding promoting the interests and well being of past
and present supervisory employees.  These issues
   included:

· Expectations of their positions (RDR's)
           · Hours of store operations
           · MLM's
           · Job security
           · Retirement for long-term employees
           · Overtime
           · Compensation issues relating to retirement
           · Clarification of past and future pension benefits
             and contributions

The popular consensus after discussing these concerns
was to determine how much support there would be for
  an association of supervisors.

Managers who supported forming an association
would send a cheque in the amount of one hundred
dollars. All monies collected will be used in the
effort of the executive committee to form an association.

  June 2001

Due to the overwhelming number of managers having
contributed to our cause, the executive committee
determined that it was appropriate to form an Ontario
corporation without share capital.  We are pleased to
announce the incorporation of Ontario Beer Store
  Supervisors Association Inc.

For those of you who have already contributed, thank
  you for your support.

For those of you who haven't heard about our endeavor,
  we welcome your support.

For those of you who may have reservations and are
hesitant about  joining our effort for whatever reason,
may we say that all memberships are held in the strictest
  confidence.

We believe the Ontario Beer Store Supervisors
Association Inc. is an important vehicle to promote the
interests of supervisors and to facilitate the exchange
of information for the mutual benefit of members of the
  Association.

The Legal Counsel for the Association is William C. Cline
of the law firm Shuh, Cline & Grossman, 17 Weber Street
  West, Kitchener, Ontario, N2H 3Y9.  (519)578-9010 x228.

We would at this time encourage those of you who have
joined to get the word out to all of your fellow supervisors
as to the importance of this association.

Cheques can be made out to:
